REA#1: BOOKLAUNCH IN BRUSSELS

Real Estate Architecture has been invited by CIVA to present the first publication 'Real Estate Architecure #1 - The Apartment Building' at Kanal Centre Pompidou in Brussels on Saturday 20th of October. This first publication, edited by Real Estate Architecture and designed by Studio Otamendi, assembles diverse material ranging from photographs, archives, design projects and critical essays on this specific typology. The publication is available for order on this website and in a selection of bookshops across Europe.

Applications for the third edition of the international summer school is open. This year, it will take place in Ghent from the 25th of August till the 1st of September. The focus of the summer school will be the redevlopment of derelict commercial centres and their link with their changing urban context. Participants will work under the guidance of 4 talented tutors: Plan Común, Buero Kofink Schels, Jean-Benoît Vétillard & Conen Sigl Architekten.

'Towards a Vertical Architecture' revisits the apartment building with a selection of projects from the first summer school, drawings by Sofie Van Der Linden, photographs by Maxence Dedry and Julien Ferir, and a refined selection of archive materials tracing the evolution of this ubiquitous typology in Liège.
